Just download the new video plugin and go on inis Folder find 'gpuPeteOpenGL2Tweak.ini'. The GTE option only works on PCSXR but the other optmizations works on EPSXE. Well i use ePSXe and Pcsxr based on the game i playing, i use gpuPeteOpenGL2Tweak tha on PCSXR suports true widescreen but on games like does't look realy good sice the background just strech causing deformations. So its hard to keep each game with a custon setting so i created a, it create a backup of your settings whe you hit the 'CONFIG EMULATOR' button and suports auto launch of your games.
To record i use NVIDIA SHADOWPLAY with has best perfomace quality but you can use fraps as well or xplit, or even use the Raptr recorder. Here a exemple. You can try PsxFX 1.30 Final. It's a hybrid shader that combines 4 different types of AA (you have to use them separately of course), subpixel dithering, bloom, adjustable tonemapping, s-curve contrast adjustment, colour vibrance, gamma correction and light attenuation. It works very well with PeteOpenGLTweak and PetesOpenGL2 plug-in. Or you could even use ReShade.
If you haven't heard of it I can explain it a little if need be. Almost everyone has heard of it so you probably have had too. It works very well with ePSXe and PeteOpenGLTweak/PetesOpenGL2 plug-in as well. It can get a little bogged down if you overload it with too many shaders though.
Yes, I have Win10 as my OS. I changed shader for AA Shader 4.0 + colors and use this settings: No OpenGLTweak because seem to freezy my ePSXe startup and i can't see difference in eyecandy. No others tweaks eg. Reshade or PsxFX cus seem too complicated for me.
Game looks now more live with this shader. Again, i have a question - what is 'Use pixel shader for 'PSX texture window' emulation? Also is it possible to get this?sharp? Menu look: it only appears when i interact with somthing, you know dead soldiers, doors, picking up items etc. My looks like this and seem to be detail missing Some green color dissapeared. Thanks for replies. And im going to use D3DGear for recording.
But need to get best look first. Shader level for the msal shader doesn't work. They're all the same for each level. Levels were never implemented in that shader. Reshade isn't complicated. That's the whole purpose why it was made other than allowing shaders for every backend. Texture filtering should be on 2 because that allows for filtering without those black lines.
I don't know what the pixel shader for window thing means but I don't have it checked. Offscreen drawing I have set to 1 because that's the best to use for it doesn't give issue. I think it's used to have the pc create objects offscreen to lessen the chance of you magically seeing it show up out of no where when you walk to new areas.
Other numbers could potentially cause glitches to show up. There's the potential of you using lumasharpen from reshade to sharpen the image while still keeping the AA intact but I never tried it. Click to expand.I have to agree with shrina358 to a degree.

ReShade would be a very good option but it can tend to be a little overwhelming an intimidating to those that don't 'tweak' their games. The shader suite I posted about in my previous post, PsxFX 1.30 Final, is a shader file in the same format as the AA4.0+colours. It's easy to use. All you have to do is open the.slf and.slv files with a text editor like windows notepad and manually adjust the different options and settings. The author of these files made concise and easy to understand notations about what each setting does and how it will effect the image quality. If you are willing to use this shader suite I'd be more than willing to walk you through on how to do everything you have trouble with.
Trust me, you will find that it is easier to do than you thought it would be and you'll clearly see the results. Darker doesn't necessarily mean better. I found in a lot of games making things dark, by whatever means, can obscure detail. You have to remember, these games were made in the 1990's and very early 2000's.
This was before the advent of HD and it's darker and vibrant look we are all used to now. I have to agree with shrina358 to a degree. 'Use pixel shader for 'PSX texture window' emulation - Repeated textures will be handled with a pixel shader rather than palletized textures (which helps with speed).' This quote was made by the plug-in author, Pete Bernert way back in 2004 when he made Pete'sOpenGL2 plug-in public.
Shinra358 already answered about different rendering modes so I'll let that be. Yesterday I saw that came out a new version of ePSXe (shame on me). I noticed some new options. Could someone explain to me what they are, and whether they should be on or off? What is the difference between CPU Modes - Dynarec and Interpreter? Google does not answer I know that Subpixel precission cause less polygon shaking or something like this and a Widescreen is obvious.
Is GTE Hacks need plugin to work? I ask because tweaked plugin slows down the sound (I'm using ePSXe SPU core 2.0.0) and generally when using xBRZ I'm losing a lot of details in graphics. What do you think? Pete's OpenGL2 GPU core 2.0.0.
is it something new? Current settings: and shader: More comparisons: - As you can see, again, the details disappear. You can see more black lines between the 'tiles' of the arena. It looks like it was all fuzzy, and the menu goes beyond the frame. And here's something odd glitch. The keyboard is out of place.
This problem occurs in normal and tweaked version of the plugin. Graphics again looks like it was fuzzy.
Here, the same glitch, but with the case. Anyone know what's going on? Thank you for any help. #edit I think my mistake. I changed shaders and saw that xBRZ works differently with different shaders.
With some better some worse. So it is probably dependent on each other. So whether AA 4.0 w / colors are a good choice if I can do better?
Hi, Not much I can add, good advice. Are you loading the image from a virtual drive (for Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120%, etc)? If so, you should be able to unmount the current image then mount the 2nd disc, let it go until Windows Autoplay kicks in (which you would then close) & then finally you should be able to continue by pressing whatever button the game prompts you to use.
Otherwise, follow the advice of the previous 2 posters. Also, please post if you were successful in fixing your problem; it doesn't have to be a large post but by letting the board know, it can help other people in the future.
Welcome to, a subreddit for discussing modifications to Nintendo's SNES Classic console. Helpful Links. ?? (DO NOT USE Hakchi2 2.30!). Our Two Rules:. No bad attitudes, and no being a dick. ( is a good guideline to follow.).

I tried to install Parasite Eve 2 (PSX NTFS) on my SNES Classic but the game would boot and once you start a game you choose to quit the shooting range and then you have to options to leave the room to get out of the shooting range area.

However when you try going to the door of the room, it just turns all black. The only way I was able to get to the door (I even succeeded at getting passed the first two doors using that technique). I had to turn the Dynamic Recompiler option in Retroarch, which let me reach the door of the shooting range. Then I would simply re-enable the Dynamic Recompiler to be able to play without the lag. I was able to get passed the first door with that method and then I could get pass the second door without any problems. The next door (the third one, the one when you're trying to leave the shooting range area) would also freeze the game as well but the music keeps playing normally. I tried the fix included in Retroarch, the PAL version, other NTSC versions but it simply won't work.
Parasite Eve 2 Epsxe
I asked MDFMKanik to see if he could help me out with the issue and maybe find a fix to my problem. He released his brand new core set and he released a newly optimized version of the rearmed core and asked me to give it a try. Even with his help and the newly optimized core I was never able to play Parasite Eve 2. I told him it still didn't work and he told me that it might have been OpenGL related.
That maybe there's simply no way to run it on my SNES Classic. I tried to run it on my Android phone using FPse and see if the game would freeze also (I also used te same image file) and had absolutely no problem playing the game. I tried to see which BIOS the emulator uses, it's configuration and see how I could use those to modify the rearmed core (since it's the only one I have for PlayStation games) and I have no idea how to create one (that works lol).
Parasite Eve 2 Epsxe Config
I did my very best to try to make the game playable but I'm not a programmer and I am very limited in programming which ultimately led to failures after failures. @MDFMKanik told me I probably tried way to hard for nothing as it might just be unplayable on the SNES Classic, but I'm a very very very very very stubborn guy and I was wondering if anyone found a fix to make it work?!?!? Is there another custom core I could try or I'll have to face the reality that I have been defeated already?!?
Thanks for everything guys!
In, at the end of the game (on any mode) the player is awarded a score based on all EXP earned in that playthrough. This score determines which rank the player is awarded, with S being the highest, then running from A down to L, being the lowest. Each rank opens up new weapons, items, and ammunition available for immediate purchase in any shops in the game during any subsequent Replay Mode.
The rank awards are cumulative, so if a player earns a B rank on one playthrough, then starts a new game using that clear save data and earns an A rank in that playthrough, then the next time Replay Mode is started using the new clear save data, both A and B rank items will be available for purchase in the shops. In this way, it is possible to earn every rank available in 13 consecutive playthroughs of the game. However, if you play through the game once more and get the same rank, you will instead be graduated to the next rank. For example, if you attain a B rank in your first playthrough, and then attain a B rank once again on a subsequent playthough with the same save file, you will then receive the A rank rewards for your next playthough.
Some modes also add a rank bonus at the end. Bounty Mode adds 1 extra rank to the player's score, Scavenger Mode adds 2 extra ranks, and Nightmare Mode adds 3 extra ranks. There are no rank bonuses for Normal or Replay Modes.
These bonuses are necessary to reach ranks A and S, since it isn't possible to earn higher than rank B on a normal playthrough by earned EXP alone, unless you have at least earned a B rank once. The item awards are ONLY available in Replay Mode. They will not be available in Bounty, Scavenger, or Nightmare modes (other than what is normally for sale). Experience Total Rank Items 400001+ S, 200 A, 00 B, 0 C, 0 D, 0 E, 0 F, 0 G, 0 H, 0 I, 0 J, 0 K, 0-14510 L,.
Using the memory map I created, I made 12 Parasite Eve save games that you may enjoy - most of them allow you to go straight to one of the many boss battles in the game, without having to go through all the cut-scenes and running around town. There are 12 save games on the memory card and 3 empty slots for your own use. The first two save games allow you to cheat if you want and are not boss battles; the remaining 10 were made by playing the game without any cheats. I am still working to make.PSV files of the individual save games for use on PS3/PSP. Theater Office Save game #1 is at the soonest possible point in the game.
Only two battles have been fought, the one with Eve on stage (no experience gained) and another forced battle with a rat (2 points experience, no level up). No items have been used and no items have been picked up.
Everything is at the default values except the 'skip scene option' has been enabled. So before a scene plays out, a message pops up and asks if you want to watch it or skip it.
SquareSoft should have made this active for everybody in the ExGame. Shame on them! I think they did not enable it because it is buggy! Sometimes it will not ask, and will play a scene anyway. Other times it will skip a scene without asking - this means in ExGame you loose bonus points at the start of Day 3 (if you are too weak to beat the ExGame in Day 2). Anyway, this feature not only saves you time during a replay, it will allow you to actually play/finish the game if your disc(s) have scratches and it hangs during an FMV (now you can skip it). Oh yeah, this is a normal game not the ExGame. Debug Room Save game #2 is just a few seconds later in the game, but now you are in the Debug Room.
Open up any of the chests and you will get a menu of options. Some will give you items (medicines or key items) and some will let you warp to various points in the game. Others will give you weapons and armor. This save file is from a normal game (if you call Debug normal). The next 2 save games are also from a normal game, and they are two of the latest boss battles in the normal game (disc 2).
Chrysler Bosses The remaining 8 save games are the bosses from the Crysler Building. Half the challenge of the ExGame is making it through the maze of floors to get to the bosses and takes 3090 minutes for each (except the last).
With these save files, you start immediately on the boss level. Just take 2 steps south and the battle begins! When you finish the battle (assuming you are victorious), you can easily return to the police station (to get more medicines or tune up your equipment) by simply walking south 2 rooms (no need to search for the elevator or stairs). This is because the hacked game thinks you are on the 2nd floor! If you want to continue up to a higher floor, you should go south to the 1st floor and ride the elevator up.
Note the save file was hacked after defeating the boss without any cheats; they were all completed on disc one near the start of Day 2 (after Wayne explains the use of Tools). I simply returned to the Police HQ after the battle (to Save), deleted the 'boss defeated' flag, deleted the appropriate Crysler Key from Aya's inventory, set the 'Crysler Floor' to the appropriate level, and finaly set the correct 'Room Number' for the boss. I'm still not sure why it thinks you are on the 2nd floor after the battle, but it saves you time from searching for the elevator/stairs! 50th Floor Boss Save game #9 is a battle against giant, reproducing roaches. The battle starts with one, but soon it gives birth to another.
Then the first one starts flying and dropping Poison bombs. The other one grows rapidly and once it gets big enough it will whip you with its antenna. If this battle gives you trouble, here's a clue: only shoot the one on the ground.
When it dies, the flying one will land and try to reproduce, but it should be low on HP by then and you should be able to kill it before it gives birth again. 60th Floor Boss Save game #10 is a battle against a giant crab. Compared to the previous and next boss, this guy is easy. Try not to stand in front of him to avoid his claw attacks. If you do that, he will try his wide-spread bubble attack. Sounds pleasant, huh? Besides dealing substantial damage, it induces Defense-Down so further attacks will deal more damage (the bubbles can hit multiple times).
You can avoid it if you can get right by his side, but he is fast so you will almost certainly need Haste. He also has a twin laser attack that ignores defense (it always reduces your current HP by 50%). 70th Floor Boss Save game #11 is a battle against a queen bee and her little companions. All the attacks (by any bee) do a fair amount of damage. The tiny drones are the easiest to kill, and you should kill them before they can heal the queen. A larger worker bee (appears later in battle) is harder to kill and it has a shotgun-like attack that inflicts Confuse; fortunately that attack is not as difficult to dodge as the squirell's attack (if you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky).
About half-way through the battle, the queen will start using a nasty attack that is unavoidable, does serious damage, often inflicts Defense-Down, and always renders Aya paralysed for several seconds. Although the queen will not attack again during this time, Aya is an easy target for any other bees. If you survive this, be sure to use Full Cure (item) or Medic (spell) in addition to restoring HP (with Medicine or Heal spell). A challenging battle, but at least Aya now has a gun with Command x3. 77th Floor Boss Save game #12 is the final battle at the top of the Crysler building. A little scene will play that should explain the scenario, so I won't bother. I will say this is a long battle, and be sure not to shoot the enemy when she stops circling around.
If you do, she will very likely summon a little Maya who will heal with greater amounts each time summoned (the first time she heals 1000 HP, the next time 2000 HP, etc.). If you run out of P.E. And it does not recharge, then you can 'die' (get knocked out but then Revive with an item automatically) or you can switch your armor (there is a crappy piece of armor in Aya's inventory if you want to try it).
